VisionForge Coaching was founded in 2013 by Jeff Smith. Jeff is certified as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation. Jeff is also an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, and utilizes his life coaching skills in faith development and with people seeking to go deeper in spirituality. Jeff is also certified as an End of Life Coach through Coaching at End of Life, and he specializes in working with people who are facing end of life issues including chronic/terminal illness and grief.

Here is Jeff’s story of VisionForge Coaching in his own words:

I come honestly by the name Smith. My great-great-grandfather, James Henry Smith, was a blacksmith by trade and sometime in the 1880’s acquired the anvil you see pictured here. As he aged, it became the custom in the family to pass the anvil down to the eldest male in the family. I am the fifth generation to inherit the anvil, and my son and grandson are the sixth and seventh generations in line for this very heavy inheritance.

As I considered how my ministry has unfolded over the years, I realized that I was someone who had helped people forge new relationships, forge new visions for their lives after major life changes such as the loss of a loved one or a significant relationship, and forge new futures in their careers as economies and corporations experienced the ups and downs of our modern world.

As a coach, my practice extends into many different arenas of life … some within faith settings and many outside specific faith communities. No matter who I am coaching, my goal is to help people forge a future beyond anything they ever thought possible.
